Obituary of Sigward Hjalmar Larsson

Sigward Hjalmar Larsson February 20, 1924 – May 24, 2022 With sorrow and sadness in their hearts, the family of Sigward Larsson announce his peaceful passing, with his wife LeOpal by his side, on May 24, 2022. Sigward will be lovingly remembered forever by his wife of 66 years, LeOpal; his children, Perry (Angela), Jeanette (Larry), Lynnette (Tom), Leonard and Theresa. Sigward will also be remembered by his 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Oskar and Anna, along with his 6 siblings and granddaughter Nicole. Sigward was a long-time farmer who lived by strong values and strove to see his family develop deep roots of character as well as strong wings to soar and live true to themselves. LeOpal will always remember him as “the handsome cowboy” she fell in love with. Sigward will be missed but never forgotten. A graveside service will take place at Maywood Cemetery on June 1, 2022, at 11:00 am. A luncheon and reception will then follow at the Senior’s-Drop-In-Centre, 5140 52 Avenue, Buck Lake, Alberta. In light of all the good times and great memories shared by Sigward and the family at the Senior’s Centre, it is asked that, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Buck Lake Senior’s-Drop-In-Centre.
