It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected death of Dewey Smith on Sunday November 4th 2022.
Dewey was born in Rimbey, Alberta, and is the son of Leonard and Cora Smith of Bluffton, Alberta. He married Fay Lemieux in 1962 and after two love filled years they settled in Whitecourt, Alberta in 1964 where Dewey owned and operated Scorpio Trucking for almost 40 years.
Dewey is survived by his wife of 60 years; Fay, his children; Lorie, Mitch (Vivian) and Dean, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his brothers; Orval and Donald.
Dewey is predeceased by his parents, his brother; Raymond, and his sisters; Mae and Margaret.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday 17th of June, 2023 at the Whitecourt Seniors Circle at 2:00 PM with a luncheon to follow.
