Norma Viola Westling February 4, 1934 – April 27, 2023 It saddens us to announce the passing of Vi Westling. Viola is survived by, daughter, Valerie (Dennis); son, Neil; son-in-law, Ed; grandchildren, Lisa, Amanda, Justin, Steven, Eric, and Kaylea; great-grandchildren, Tyson, Jordan, Lucas, Natalie, Deacon, Charlie, Serena, Helina, Will, Wynonna, and Georgia. Viola was predeceased by her husband, Theo in 1985; daughter, Laura in 2020 and daughter-in law, Kathy in 2023. Viola was born in Meeting Creek, Alberta on February 4, 1934. On June 27, in 1951 she married Theo Westling. She lived on the farm at SW-4-48-4-W5 for 72 years. She farmed, volunteered, curled, fished, golfed, camped, and jammed. Vi was a great community asset, and will dearly be missed. Viola passed away at the Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Center, she received compassionate care from the doctors and staff; the family extends special thanks to Vi’s care giver for the care Vi received during her stay.
