Obituary of Jim Wilkinson

On June 20th, 2023, our family experienced the passing of Jim “Wilkie” Wilkinson. Jim was a hardworking man, that enjoyed spending time with his family outdoors, or playing card games like cribbage and solitaire, all the while, telling stories to all those that would listen. Jim always had “the perfect spot to show you” and would often take people down goat trails to camp or explore, often getting stuck in the mud. Jim is survived by his loving wife; Susan Wilkinson, his seven children; Angela (Nordwing) Sanchez, Pamela (B.J.) Wilkinson, Jamie (Phil) McGurgin, Steven Ord, Laura (Jon) Laduke, Robert Ord, Richard (Brittany) Ord, his 15 grandchildren; Anthony Wilkinson, Marcus Sanchez Wilkinson, Carlos Sanchez Wilkinson, Alejandro Sanchez Wilkinson, Darin Orge, Naomi Orge, Reanne Orgre, Sydney McGurgin, Josh McGurgin, Jacklyn Ord, Brayden Engel, Gavin Engel, Hiliana Engel, Steven Young, and Zoe Ord, his brother in law Tom, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that Jim had made throughout his duration as a member of the community. Jim is predeceased by his parents Hebert James Wilkinson, and Mary Hanna (Boorse) Wilkinson, and his sister Lenora Brown. The Wilkinson family would like to express their most heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at the Whitecourt Healthcare Center, and to those who have expressed their sympathies during this trying time.
