Obituary of Robyn Lynn Dempsey

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robyn Dempsey (McGrath) on Friday August 4, 2023 at the Whitecourt Healthcare Centre. Robyn was a strong woman that loved her family and friends. You could often find her having breakfast with her friends and family or serving breakfast to the families in the community. She had a huge heart and would lend a listening ear to anyone in need of a safe place. Robyn spent the last five years of her life serving at the Ritz, after the 10 years she served at Humpty’s prior. She loved her job, loved talking to members of the community, loved providing a fresh start to people’s days, Robyn was just filled with love. Her Boston Terrier, Spike, had the best life any dog could ask for, treats, sun filled days, love, cuddle filled evenings, Robyn loved her furry friend and took such great care of him. Robyn enjoyed her last family trip to Penticton, British Columbia with her daughters, filled with shopping and laughter, there could not have been a better final trip. Surrounding herself with family, Robyn maintained her high spirit and positive attitude even in her last days. Robyn will be deeply missed by those she is survived by; her children; Jillian (Lisa) McGrath, Pamela (Dan) Stith, and Patrick McGrath; her grandchildren; Lincoln Walt-McGrath, Sophia Landman, Haidyn Landman, her father; Roger Dempsey, Cam and Kathie Walt; and numerous friends and extended family members. Robyn is predeceased by her mother; Betty McLean, and after eighteen years Robyn is finally able to join her Late husband; Timothy McGrath, and her child; Kyle McGrath, Robyn’s family would like to thank not only the staff of Whitecourt Healthcare Centre for their continuous care and compassion that they showed to Robyn over the duration of her stay, but also Haley Landman for her more than generous donation of flowers and her kindness during this most difficult time.
