James Donald McLean October 24, 1964 – September 17, 2023 With broken hearts, we announce the passing of James McLean at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at the age of 58 years. James was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia to Marie and Greg McLean. As a Military family, the McLean family ventured all over. James settled in Drayton Valley and very much enjoyed the people he met in the community and through his many years of work at IGA. James is lovingly remembered by his brother, Dixon McLean; niece, Alana as well as by many extended family, great friends and his IGA family spanning more than 20 years, and is predeceased by his parents, Marie and Greg McLean. James’ life will be celebrated from the Chapel at Affinity Funeral Service, 5001 45 Avenue, Drayton Valley, Alberta on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. For those who so desire, memorial donations in honour of James may be made directly to Drayton Valley Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care Suite Campaign, 4550 Madsen Avenue, Drayton Valley, Alberta T7A 1N8.
