Obituary of "Ronnie" Ronald Adrian Glubs

“Ronnie” Ronald Adrian Glubs July 18, 1957 – September 30, 2023 With many beautiful memories and entertaining moments now treasured, the family of Ronald Adrian Glubs are sad to announce his passing at the Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre – Continuing Care on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the age of 66 years. For the past 20 years, Ronnie resided at Drayton Valley Continuing Care and was blessed with an incredible amount of friends over the years who became an extension of his family; including residents and their families, Doctors, Nurses and all care staff. Although it has been a long time since his involvement, the many support workers at the Beehive played an integral role in Ronnie’s life, providing structure and helping to shape his life moving forward. Ronnie will forever be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Inga (Larry) Walker, Susan (Dan) Anderson, Rose (Greg) Lattman and Betty (Keith) Verreau; sister-in-law, Laura Budzak; brother-in-law, Harley Vig; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins; along with many other extended family and family friends. Ronnie was predeceased by his parents, Adele and Vernon Glubs; brother, Hart; sister, Edel and brother-in-law, Larry Smith. Ronnie’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre’s Continuing Care for the exceptional care provided to their brother for the past 20 years, and to K-Bri for their kindness and amazing support shown to Ronnie over the many years. We will not soon forget everyone who brought humour into his life and a smile upon his face – Thank You! A Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #269, 5204 51 Avenue, Drayton Valley on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery at a later date. In the spirit of gratitude for his long-time residency at Continuing Care, the family would appreciate that memorial donations in honour of Ronnie be made directly to Drayton Valley Hospital Foundation - Continuing Care.
